Knitting in pink

In the wee hours of the morning, Bethe, Erin, Sadly Blogless Jasmine and I took off for Rhinebeck.

We made really good time and arrived around 9am. We made a bee line to The Fold's booth to catch some STR before the mobs arrived. Lets just say that we arrived right on time. We had time to pick a few colors and pay for them. By then a line was already forming and an hour later there must have been over 50 people in line to pay. Sold out in less than a day! As we were there early enough I had time to pick and choose which colors I wanted and I am pleased of the colors I got. (picture coming along later)

We spent the rest of the day walking between barns, booths and vendors dodging baby strollers, impatient shoppers, slow pokes and an average of 2 persons per square foot. At least that's what it felt like! I petted quite a bit of yarn, thought about it, bought stuff, thought about it some more, returned stuff, fondled more yarn, restrained myself, etc.

The Blogger meet up was a bit overwhelming for me so I stood back most of the time and didn't get a chance to get really far on my blogger bingo. I did get to see the Yarn Harlot and her beautiful, gorgeous, awesome, do die for, amazing and stunning Wedding Shawl. I wanted to bow in front of her amazingness! I also got the chance to meet Amanda Cathleen from Mistress Stash Enhancer. She even a picture taken of us two with our STR stash! (you can go see it on her blog) We've been exchanging emails and comment for the past few months and it was nice to see her for real!

I bought some more sock yarn and decided to call it a day. 3 more sock yarn on my must-have list have been crossed off. Jasmine and I spent a little more time going into barns and looked at the animals in their pens.
