Time to go to Disney!

I'm going to Disney!

Tomorrow DH and I fly down to Orlando Florida for some Disney time. I've never been to Disney so it will be a new experience for me. We'll be doing the parks, going to see Cirque du Soleil (the best show ever) and meeting up with Alyson.

I look forward to having fun on the rides and to getting a bit more sun and warmth before winter starts.

I'll be working on the following socks (which I will be wearing in Rhinebeck in 2 weekends!)

Strange Little Mama socks

They're just past the heel so in a perfect spot for airport and plane knitting.

I don't know how much knitting time I'll actually have while in Disney but I have a second project for when the Rhinebeck socks are done.

Future Elegance socks

The Elegance sock pattern for the Sockamania KAL.

I'm thinking of also bringing my Snicket socks

Snicket socks

I just realized that when I did the heel on the first sock I forgot a very important thing. I forgot to do the heel turn... The sock looks a little strange but fits just fine. So I'm debating whether I should just do the second one the same way or not. I'll call in my own unvention! lol!

Now time for one last errand and finish packing before heading out to Boston!

Yay, looking forward to seeing you both again! :-)

During the week it may not be bad at the parks, line-wise, but you may get more knitting done than you think....some of the more popular rides have pretty wicked waits; I've noticed standing in line isn't nearly as painful now when I have a sock on hand!

I hope you have a fantastic time at Disney!!! I forget to turn the heel almost every time. It's some weird brain fart that I keep having. Over and over again.

I hope you have a wonderful trip! Your going to love the parks. When we took the kids last summer, I started crying when we drove down the entrance road! I was just so happy to be able to bring my kids to a place I enjoyed when I was little.
Can't wait for Rhinebeck! Love your Vesper socks, and I've been meaning to CO for a pair of snickets... nice unvention btw!

Oh Disney, such fun! Our youngest wants to go so badly. Keeps asking, 'When I'm 7, I go to Disney?' Don't know when 7 became the qualifying age, but whatever. Can't wait to take him! Enjoy!

on the off chance you get this, I will be in Orlando starting on Sunday through next Saturday. Alyson got my information in a note on ravelry - maybe there can be lots and lots of knit hook ups!!

How does the sock fit without having been turned? I am so confused...and impressed.

I hope Disney is everything you hopes for! I hope I see you at Rhinebeck!

Hey, I have the same red-black-pink self striping yarn! I can't remember if it's Yarntini or Vesper though... I'll be on the lookout at Rhinebeck! The snickets socks look lovely, I've always wanted to make them :)
