Project Colorswap and much more

Yesterday I received my last Colorswap package from Lorinda. She treated me with much pinkness and many goodies.

Many pink pampering products, Lindt chocolate, Pink hot chocolate (I am looking forward to seeing that!), a little purse and various other goodies.

This concludes this year's Project Colorswap. I have to say that I am very pleased that I was able to participate. I got to know some great people and now I have more blogs to read for it! Thank you Lynne for organizing it and making sure that everyone had a good time.

I also received yesterday the yarn that I won on Quiddity's contest of a couple weeks ago. She sent me two skeins of Austermann Step. I had yet to work that yarn and am looking forward to it. The yarn is incredibly soft and will make really comfy socks.

The grey-blue yarn was quickly chosen by DH as his first pair of handknit socks... Thankfully he has small feet for a man! : )

I also have a finished object to show you. Like Lolly, I veered off sock knitting for a couple days and knitted up a scarf. Rhinebeck is coming up and everyone will be wearing their special handknitted sweaters. Since I didnt have the time to knit a sweater, I knit myself a scarf! I used some lovely Colinette that I got from Amanda and some Classic Elite yarn from the stash.
I am very pleased with the results and will wear it with pride at Rhinebeck, weather permitting.

Project Colorswap Package

2 days ago I received my Project Colorswap package from my pal Stacey from Montana. Her goodies were mostly following the food theme: Almond Mocha Chocolate Chunk biscottis, Vanilla Ginger snaps, English Toffee hot chocolate, a big mug, a "good food" dishtowel and a discloth. The knitting theme items where a nice little notebook with a cool pink flower, two small hanks of some 4/8s wool and Twizzle by Mountain Colors and some Lion's Brand Microspun. The yarn will be a nice addition to my small neutral stash!
