My last package from my not so secret pal anymore! : )
I received this morning the last package from my Secret Pal, the one where she reveals herself! Her name is Annette from Confessions of a Yarn Addict. She has been the best secret pal and has treated me with lots of awesome things. This last package was awesome too!
A cute keychain sock blocker kit, 3 samples of Soak, a cute sheep measuring tape and last but not least some of Scout's Swag in "Run Like Hell". The color of the yarn is so gorgeous, a mix of pinks just like I love them. I see some gorgeous lacey socks with that yarn...
Annette, you really have been the best pal. I hope that my SP10 will be just as wonderful as you!

Random Friday
First:
I have to thank my Secret Pal for this lovely and delicious package received last weekend.
I haven't had a chance to try the hot chocolate yet, but it sure looks yummy. I did try out the marshmallows though, and they are really good!
Thank you Secret Pal!
Second:
I finished chart 1 of my Fake Isle hat.
It's a really fast knit. I think I need to sit down and work on it twice more and I'll be done.
Thirdly:
I got something in the mail today...
These are row markers made specially for me by Beadmarkers. I've bought stitch markers from her before and I saw that she made row markers too. I conveniently found that out after seeing that the stole I want to make (Gothic Leaf Stole by Sivia Harding) has a 20 row repeat. I am really pleased with my purchase, go and check her stuff out!

Ode to my Secret Pal
I am no poet, so bear with me as I do really bad poetry! : )
"Secret Pal, Secret Pal,
You are quite the gal.
You are so amazing,
You made me a pair of Fetching.
It must not have been easy,
Parting with a book from EZ.
You were such a sweetie,
Giving me stuff so chocolatey.
You must have been quite strong,
To give me a book thong."
My Secret Pal has been the best. Once again her package sent me squealing with happiness and joy. Here it is:
From the top: Deliciously smelling Allspice & Nutmeg candle. Wickedly Hot Chocolate Three-in-one body wash, bubble bath and shampoo and a tinted lip gloss... yummy! My first EZ book (I can't wait to read it!). Lovely stitch markers made by her mom with Swaroski beads. A very pretty book thong (I'd never heard of such a thing, but I love it!). And last but not least, a pair of Fetching! No one has ever knitted something really for me and I feel very special that she would make them for me. And they are extremely soft and comfortable and in such a lovely color and, and, and... They're perfect and will keep my hands warm when I'm at my computer.
Thank you so much my Secret Pal, you really are the best!

My first Secret Pal 9 package! So fast!
Today, the PO box was extremely good to me. I received 3 packages and a WEBS catalog! One package was from my mom, the other was some sock yarn I got in a trade. The last box was huge! I wondered for a sec if it was my Yarn Aboard box arrived but no, it was from my Secret Pal!
I quickly opened the box; on top was a card, which I read, before digging inside the box. First I took out some gorgeous Lorna's Laces in Tuscany. The colors are rust, burgundy, olive and blue. They will make lovely socks! I also got a "Grow a Halloween Goblin", he's so cute!, some See's Halloween cadies, tasty! and a cute pink baking spatula. Last but not least... the most gigantic box of Ghirardelli brownie mix! My husband's eyes lit up when I showed it to him! I love those brownies, I might have to make some this weekend! yum!
I want to thank my Secret Pal for this wonderful package. It was very thoughtfully put together with all the goodies that I enjoy. I am very happy to be your pal!
Now I have to think about the package I'll put together for mine!

"Get to know me" questionnaire
I found this little questionnaire on one of the SP9 hostess' blog and thought it would be interesting to answer it too!
1. Where is your favorite knitting spot?
I spend most of my knitting time on the couch in our living room. It is not super comfortable but it works for now.
2. If you suddenly could never knit again (shudder) - what would you do instead?
I would probably go back to reading as much as I used to.
3. If you could travel anywhere in the world - where would you go and why?
I lived in Europe for about 15 years but I never managed to see every country. I would love to visit more of Italy, France, Spain and England. Would love to visit Ireland, Greece and the Scandinavian countries. I'd love to go see the beautiful beaches of Tahiti and Fidji Islands. I would also love to go to New Zealand and see the beautiful vistas from the Lord of the Rings.
4. When you were little - What did you want to do "when you grew up?" Are you doing it?
I can't say I remember what I wanted to be when I grew up. When I was a little older I wanted to be an Interior Designer (got a diploma but never pursued it). Later I did a certificate in "Managing digital information" but I'm not working in that either. Then I discovered knitting, and found a job in that field; first in my LYS then, when it closed, working for an online yarn store.
5. What is your favorite flavor of ice cream?
Chocolate Fudge Brownie from Ben&Jerrys and Cappuccino with Chocolate Hearts by Godiva.
